Washing your hair the right way

Comb through all of the tangles before you get your hair wet, so you don't worsen the tangles. Next you want to rinse thoroughly to rid products, dirt and oil. Use warm water to open the cuticle layer of your hair. This will ensure a good cleansing from the shampoo. Focus more on the scalp area to cleanse. Your ends don't need as much shampoo.

Rinse the shampoo off and squeeze excess water out. Do not pull or tug on the hair while wet. Your hair is the most delicate when wet. Next put a conditioner on and try to avoid the roots. Let sit on the hair for a few minutes. Rinse conditioner and use cooler water. This will seal the cuticle layer and make your hair shiner. Always use a wide tooth comb to comb out tangles when hair is wet.
